I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day

As I pondered what Christmas songs to arrange this year, this tune started to play in my mind. It was so fun! It turned into a piece for my ward choir where the choir is the bells and a soloist sings the story. I found the story behind the song enlightening. Longfellow had suffered tragedies and heartache, but on Christmas 1863, he found hope. That's the same hope I feel every day because of Jesus Christ. "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep. The wrong shall fail, the right prevail with peace on Earth, goodwill to men!"
